Who wouldn’t want to take a bite of a freshly baked, soft, and delicious pie right now? However, when it comes to cheese pie, the pleasure is even greater. Even beginners in the kitchen can easily make a cheese pie like this and make their loved ones happy. The pie turns out soft, delicious, and very beautiful.
To make this kind of yellow pie, you will need the following ingredients: 1 kg and 200 grams of flour, 3 eggs, 4 teaspoons of oil, tepid water as needed, a teaspoon of sugar and the same amount of salt, yeast, about 300 grams of cheese, and 1/2 cube of butter (125 g).
Preparation: First, a medium-soft dough should be kneaded. For this purpose, mix use all the ingredients except for the egg yolk, the cheese, and the butter. Combine all the ingredients until you get a nice and soft dough.
Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes at room temperature. Then divide it into four equal balls and each ball divide it into three. Using a rolling pin, roll them out into thin crusts – they should be as big as a regular dinner plate. Place the next crust on top of the first one, and repeat adding the butter and cheese.
It’s time for the third crust. After placing the third crust, press with your palms to stretch it a little, then make it into a roll and cut it into smaller pieces. You may wrap the pie up into a snail-like form. You may customize the pie’s appearance anyway you like. Leave the pie to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, then brush it with the egg yolk and add a little butter. Put the pie in a preheated oven at 200–220 degrees, and before that, sprinkle it with a little cheese and bake it.
Ingredients required (second recipe): 600 g flour, type 500 (soft), 40 g fresh yeast, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 50 g margarine or butter, 250 ml lukewarm milk, and 3 tablespoons yogurt For the filling: 120 g of margarine or butter, 1 egg, and 2 slices of cheese. For coating: 1 egg yolk, a little oil, and sesame.
Preparation: Knead the dough from the listed ingredients and let it rise until it doubles in size. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to the thickness of half a finger. Cut out circles from the dough with a cup, like for making doughnuts.
Arrange the circles in a deep casserole or pot. The arrangement is as follows: each circle lies halfway on top of the previous one, and you need to put the filling in between. Allow the pie to rise for about 20 minutes, brush it with beaten egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake at 220 degrees for about 30 minutes.
When it’s golden, put foil on top so it doesn’t burn. For the filling: combine the margarine, egg, and cheese with a fork. A different mix may be added based on your preferences.
